2013 Beauty Favourites

** Sorry about the quality of the pictures. Insya Allah will update it as soon as I can with better ones.

2013 is coming to an end. I'm discovering plenty of beauty products this year. Most of the products are cult products recommended by beauty bloggers and alike. For skincare, I have written products that I'm currently using and loving it for what it does to my skin [here]. On the other hand, for make up I found myself to love lip products more than blushes and face products. And now, I know which shade I prefer and will get a lot of use. 2013 Current Skincare Routine

I think it has been almost a year since my quest finding the right skincare regime for myself. My skin used to be very dry, my t-zone gets super oily quickly. These are the products that I have repurchase a couple of times this year (they last quite long!) and I believe it had helps improve my skin. I have a better skin now although still in the dry to normal skin type. I don't remember when was the last time I had breakouts. That's good, right?
I cleanse my face daily using Bio-Essence Tanaka White Double Whitening Cleansing Foam. I then put few drops of Bioderma on cotton pad as toner and then I use a pump of Laneige Moisture Balancing Emulsion for my whole face. Pat on Laneige Water Bank Essence serum (daily every night for extra hydration). For moisturiser, I use Laneige Water Bank Moisture cream. Every other night I also use Laneige Water Sleeping Pack. Various times in the month, I also use St Ives Moisturising Olive scrub or Good Things Deep Clean Blackhead Exfoliator depending to what I need at that time. A little bit of skin pampering.
When I'm about to wear my makeup, I cleanse-tone-balancing emulsion to prepare my skin so my make up will stay put longer. If I'm doing a heavier makeup, I will use face primer before putting on my makeup. Anyway, that is my current skincare routine for over 6 months now and I'm going to stick to this regime. On a side note, I'm planning to add and change to new products this coming year. I'll report back to you guys about it. It's time to take good care of our skin already. Then again, beauty comes from within. ;)

Revlon Colorstay Foundation in 310 Warm Golden

Among my recent haul from Guardian, I bought Revlon Colorstay Foundation in shade 310 Warm Golden. I, as usual read reviews to find out which shade will suits me. When I went to Guardian, I went to the display look for the shade, went to the counter and paid for it. I came home and tried the foundation right away. Swatched it and put a few drops for my face. I looked dark. My face is at least twice darker than my neck. :O I asked opinions from my mom and husband, they both said it IS dark. Even darker after it oxidized.
I was puzzled. I thought I bought the right shade. The testers at the shop is questionable hence I did not tried it. I should have but no. I go back to the reviews again. And apparently I bought the WRONG shade. I was supposed to get 300 Golden Beige (unfortunately not available here!). Both names have "golden" in it, I guess that's where I was wrong. :( I remember the lighter shades available are Sand Beige and Nude. Although.. While I was trying the foundation, I like the finish and lasting power. So perhaps I will try Nude next.

I'm letting go this foundation in Warm Golden for $20 (including postage). As mentioned above, I only used a couple of drops. If you know anyone using this shade, please let them know. :)

Haul | Revlon, Maybelline, NYX

sorry about the date stamp -_-"

This is my recent haul from Guardian and Shop at Sarah. I need a new foundation as I am saving my Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation for special occasion. After hearing praises for Revlon Colorstay Foundation (even though shades available in this region is rather limited!), I still want to try it. I bought in shade 310 Warm Golden - wrong shade btw! There will be a post about it after this. I also bought the Revlon Colorstay Concealer in Medium which is good I must say. The texture is similar to my favourite Collection 2000 concealer, very pigmented and good lasting power too. I finally bought my first Revlon lipstick - Revlon Super Lustrous Shine in Kissable Pink. I love love the colour! It does not last long, colour is sheer, texture is soft and moisturising and I do not mind applying it again and again. I also bought Revlon Colorstay eyeliner in Blackberry (?!!) I thought I bought Black Brown which is my favourite. Anyway, moving on.. I need backup for my Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. I have only use this ever since I bought it. I have hit the pan too on this hence the purchase. Since I love my NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Yogurt, I bought a back up too because the one I have is already short and I also bought Iced Mocha which the colour is similar to my Maybelline one. This NYX eye pencil however creases on my dry lids though so I need primer for this every time I use it. Everything I bought is currently on sale. Yay! :D So that's my drugstore haul for this month.

first time I won a giveaway

Isn't the title obvious? :P I won a giveaway from Sprinklerain last April [here]. I know I knoww.. It was many moons ago and I have been meaning to write this post for so long! Better late than never, yes? ;)

I was going to write a review on every single item included in the giveaway but I have not use most of them. So, I'll write a haul kind of post today. :D

apology about the quality of the pic :/
  1. Make up bag which is not in the picture :( Sorry!
  2. 17 BB Magic Cream
  3. 17 Face Oil Absorbing Sheets
  4. 17 Oil Control Make-up Remover Wipes
  5. 17 Super Fine Foundation Powder in Ivory
  6. 17 Trio Blush Powder in Peachy Blush
  7. 17 Trio Eyeshadows in Gilded Rose
  8. 17 Duet Match Lip Gloss in Neutral Nude
  9. 17 Va Va Voom Waterproof Volume Mascara
  10. Watsons Luscious Cheek and Lip Jelly Color in Pink Cherry
  11. Bioderma for Combination/ Oily Skin
As you can see from the picture, I have finished using the facial wipes. It removes all my make-up better as the tissue is thicker than Simple and it does not drying my face. I'm currently still using the face oil absorbing sheets and also, foundation powder which both I have in my on-the-go make up bag.

I still have not use most of them :( but I'll definitely use them once I started working again. I rarely go out these days hence a lot of online shopping happened recently but when I do, I definitely rotate my make ups.

Oh! I sort of 'filter' my make ups the other day and I have some items that I had put in my graveyard basket. Lol! Items that I know that I do not want to use anymore, items that are already drying (mascaras, cream eyeshadows), smells weird and does not work on me especially concealers.
Do you have a make up graveyeard? :P

there's baby Amni 'ignoring' my package :p

Picture above is only my first order. Didn't get to snap my second order. I'll list down the items I have bought if they still have it in their site in case you like it ;)

  2. Candy Pop pants in Black and Cherry Red [here]
  3. Nukleus Cassia Activo Singlet in Purple [here]

Year End Splurges?

I don't know why but staying at home means I'd be splurging A LOT! Seriously!

Weeks before and after I gave birth to baby Amni, I hauled a lot of baby clothings from Marks and Spencer and Mothercare (both UK and Brunei). I think I've mentioned this before. And I even bought more clothing last week! It was new arrivals so I had to. ☺️

And because I have been seeing a lot of beauty YouTube-ers posting their Christmas/ Holiday gift guides and I tell you it's really bad. It's actually good and nice seeing these "limited editions" but bad for your pockets! In the end, I bought few make ups (less than 5 items, few right? :P). I don't have them with me yet so, I'll do another post when I do.

And then, realising that I'm running out of tops and pants so I finally gave in and bought few tops and a  pant from FashionValet. And today, it's Vivy (co-founder of FV and MD) birthday so they're having a huge sale which I couldn't pass, so I bought few more tops and pants. Seriously, can you blame me? Hehehe..

Anyway, enough with the rants. Sprinklerain is having a giveaway. I'm still debating whether I should enter or not. The gifts are temptinggg which means more make ups. HAHA :P

Oh! I've sigNed up to Luvocracy. I'm addicted to it! :D Go sign up!

Baby Amni turns One month

Nur Amni Thaqifah turns one month last Tuesday, 3rd Dec 2013. Alhamdulillah.. It has been a great first month. She definitely brings more happiness and joy to our little family. I can't believe myself that I could love this much. Still trying to get her into routine.

On the other note, Ahmad Iqbal is being more clingy than ever during night time. Sometimes I feel like crying seeing him. *sighs* Sometimes its funny, and sometimes its heart-breaking too. People say, "kerebutan kasih" - maybe true, maybe not. I'm trying to give my time as much as possible to both. *btw, both babies are currently taking their nap while I'm typing this! and my babies' daddy too! Hehe*

Baby Amni also had her first month clinic appointment last Wednesday. It was only routine check-up, no injection just yet. They currently giving jab when baby is two month old. Oh! Baby Amni ada ruam all her face for the past few weeks already. At first we thought it was heat rash and was getting better few days ago until I ate some durian kuning and seafood! *slaps forehead* The cons for breastfeeding, you have to watch what you eat. *notetoselfforthegazillionthtimes* -_-"

Ahmad Iqbal 2nd Birthday

*latepost* :P

Anyway, we celebrated Iqbal's 2nd birthday last Sunday, 1st Dec 2013 at Sugarbun Hua Ho Manggis mall. What a way to welcome the month of December ey? ;D

Initially, I wanted to have a small celebration at home with our close families and friends. Unfortunately I could not do the preparation, so we decided to have it at a restaurant instead. Insya Allah we'll do a better one next year. :D *can't waitttt*

Below are some of the pictures taken during the function. We invited my brother-in-laws' families too (Mentiri and Rimba families), and of course our beloved Birau families. :D

Baby Amni who slept throughout the event :p

Current Obsession: The Heirs/ Inheritors

Oh how I love these couple! Ok, maybe not at first. I actually wanted to watch this drama because of the lead actor, Lee Min Ho. I love him in Boys over Flower and Personal Preference . So yes, because of him. <3

Then when I started watching I could not stop. I actually watched episode 1-12 in just two days! And now every week I'm waiting for its two new episodes. It's so dreadinggg! I can't wait to find out what 'surprises' will be reveal in the episodes. Haha..

One of my friend said the teenagers in the drama are too mature to experience the complicated life they're living. From what I read, they are supposed to be mature because of the status they held in the society - the heirs for big companies, stock holders, political and also, the no-status social welfare students.

If you want to know more, just watch the drama. Im watching from dramago site. I don't download them though and so far, the internet does not disappoint me. ;)

My Next Bag?

I have been eyeing Michael MK Jet Set Saffiano iPad Travel tote for months now. There was a few options but I finally decided on this particular bag which can only be found in Michael Kors official site.

It looks like a normal tote but it actually has a middle zipper compartment which I need especially to put my iPad and wallet. The size 14"x9 1/4"x5" is similar to their small size MK tote. The size is good - not too big and not too small for everyday use although I find the strap for the small tote is a little bit short.

While the other bag is available in more colours but I do not like the fact that it has lining inside. Since it is a tote, it does not need lining. That's just me. Unless the bag is completely zipped then I do not mind the lining. I hope this bag comes in gold hardware as from the picture it looks like silver hardware but in the description, it says "golden hardware". :/

I'll get this bag in a few weeks and I'll post pictures once I do! I'm excitedddd.. This will be my last bag for 2013. :D

Mommy's Dilemma

I actually have another post written earlier today. But I've decided not to publish it.

Having a toddler and a baby. Where should I start? It has been over a week since Baby Amni came into our life. Dear Husband and I had to adjust and adapt few things. I have to say, it has been a blessed having dear Husband around. Too bad he's going back to work next week.

Attention. Breastfeeding. Sleep. We need to get into routine quick. It was easier with Iqbal before as I was a stay at home mom. Now that I'm working, I'm not sure how its going to be. With a toddler and two babies under my parents' watch.

It has been fun as Baby Amni and Baby Sofea sleep most of the time. Iqbal on the other hand, is being 'naughty' and a good brother and helper at times. We try to divide our time as much as possible to have only Iqbal with us, giving our full attention to him. Just him. Sometimes it does made me teary watching Iqbal. ;(

New Arrival

Alhamdulillah.. I think most of you have already knew that I gave birth to our princess last Sunday, 3rd November 2013 (#31113 :P) at 5.59pm in Hospital RIPAS.

I will not be writing a separate post on how the labour went like my previous post with dearest Iqbal. In fact, the process was rather quick this time. Alhamdulillah.. I had mild contractions when I woke up. By noon, I was getting ready for my sister's Nikah that afternoon. It was already past 2pm, the contractions was getting stronger and constant every 8-10mins. Finally gave in not to go to the wedding. Dear Husband had been asking to go to the hospital from noon but I refused. In his term, I was in denial that I was actually in labour.

When we arrived in RIPAS Hospital around 4pm, my parents in law and siblings in law was already waiting. My SIL kindly pushed the wheelchair and Dear Iqbal was being clingy. He didn't want my BIL to carry him. Went into the labour room, I was already 7cm dilated. I told them that I wanted to wait for my mom. She rushed from the event and came around 5pm, the nurses told me to poop and then they broke my water.

After that, straight away they told me to push when I have the contractions. Unfortunately Dear Husband didn't get a chance to be call to witness. Everything went really fast. I was not sedated or anything, it was au natural! After few long pushes, baby Nur Amni Thaqifah finally arrived. Then Dear Husband came. Hehe.. A little disappointed because he didn't get to witness but happy that we're doing great. Syukur Alhamdulillah.. :D

39 weeks Doctor's Appointment

31.10.2013. I had my last Doctor's appointment in MCH Lambak yesterday. Routine was as usual - weight, blood pressure and urine for sugar. They asked me if I had any labour pain symptoms. I told them that I have been having occasional tightening throughout the day. But mostly at night is quite painful as baby is pretty active squirming inside.

I told the same to the Doctor and she referred me to OB in RIPAS Hospital. Which means if I have any pains, just go straight to labour room. Chief Nurse (Siter) called RIPAS to check a slot for my review and guess what? They asked me to come right away because my previous Doctor, Dr Mary Paul's team's appointment is on every Wednesday and Thursday. Oh greatttt! I was pretty nervous though..

But luckily the Doc only explained to me my options incase I don't give birth on my EDD, they will wait for another week then if still have not give birth, they will induce me to labour. I'm definitely not keen with the last options. And I've been pretty nervous with labour images since this morning. Naik tah BP lagi nie~ ;(

On another happier note, my best friend and my work colleague are both expecting their first baby which due in June next year! Hehehe.. Alhamdulillah and congratulations you both!!! :D

Please pray for my smooth delivery and our baby will be healthy. Amiin amiin ya rabbal 'alamiiinn..

Baby Clothing

I think I went a little bit crazy when it comes to baby clothes. I did the same with Iqbal before he was born until today, and I'm doing the same to Baby A. Well, I love doing online shopping so that makes it even more fun and easier! Hehehe..

For Baby A. I did a little haul from Mothercare especially early baby clothing as I was told that my baby was only 1.8kgs. I also bought a lot from Mothercare UK tiny to newborn sizes and sent it to my friend's sister who was supposed to come back to Brunei early this month. Then I was told she put the clothes in her trunk which will take a while to arrive. So I had to buy few to prepare for Baby A's arrival just in case the clothes I bought do not arrive on time. After that, my friend told me that my baby clothes is otw to Brunei and I've took them from my friend last night. Yayyyy!!! I also bought some for Iqbal. Teehee! :P

And I recently also bought some more from Mothercare Brunei and ordered online from Marks and Spencer UK! Lol! So yea.. As my mom said, "puas bebaju.." :P Overall spending on baby clothing so far is more than the price of my MK bag. Hehehe..

Overall, I have some in every sizes - early, tiny and newborn clothing. I hope that it'll be enough for the next few months. I can always buy again :P but, I'll restrict to what we need at that time rather than based on hunch. Urmm I also bought dresses for Baby A. already in bigger sizes 3mths. Hehehe.. Couldn't resist them! They're just too cute!

Our Sunday

It's almost 4am in the morning. I couldn't go back to sleep. So here I am blogging about yesterday, our Sunday.

We were early birds. My little family and I went to Swensen's for breakfast.

Then we headed to Triple Star in Tg. Bunut for babies' needs. Finally bought a proper car seat for Iqbal. He didn't like it at first (and I think he still doesn't like it yet!) and reluctant to sit on it, but he fell asleep when were on our way home. He even snored! Hehehe.. Poor Baby!

In the afternoon, my big family and I went to the Botanical Garden in Rimba. It was Iqbal's first bus ride. Scared at first but excited to go in for the second time. "Siuk bus", he said when we asked. We took a long stroll there and yes, I walked a lot! Got really tired and hungry. So we went to Kenny Rogers for dinner but they don't have their muffins anymore! Boo! :(

Had a long painful braxton hicks when we were shopping in Giant until we reached home. Sighs! That sums up our Sunday. A fun one indeed! Hope you had a great Sunday too.

Preparation for Baby A.

Today, I have exactly three weeks before my due date. Baby can come out anytime actually so we really need to be prepared.

However, we're a little bit clueless this time. We were more prepared before we had baby Iqbal. It was easier because we didn't have anything baby related stuffs so we had to buy most things. It should be easier the second time, right? But somehow we find it difficult.

Anyway, we tried to train baby Iqbal to sleep on his bed. We bought for him a car bed so that he'll be excited to sleep on it but it's not successful yet until today. He'd only be in his car bed when he's watching his movie, Barney and friends. Hehe.. Well, that counts I guess.

So just in case Baby Iqbal still refuse to sleep on his bed, we need plan B - buy a baby cot for baby A. We managed to find baby crib (swing) from Mothercare today. Had to get it today since it's their last day sale promotion. We bought a playpen for Baby Iqbal before but his cot is now full with his toys' boxes. Our room is definitely getting smaller now! Haha..

Things we need to buy:

1. Pillows and bolster
2. Crib bale (bumper and etc)
3. More clothes.
- I bought few some smaller sizes (early baby) clothing after we had our ultrasound with Dr Ding from Mothercare which might not fit Baby A. now. From the last ultrasound I had, Doctor mentioned that baby is now around 2.3kgs. *slaps forehead* There goes all the clothes! *cries bucket*
4. I'll add more when I can think of something else. Hehehe
5. Barut - 4pcs (velcro)
6. Kain Badung (swaddle) - cotton (mama already bought the kain) and 1 or 2 pcs of the modern swaddle for convenience dear husband :p

36 weeks Doctor's appointment

8th Oct 2013.

I went late to the clinic. I didn't want to wait for more than 2 hours like my previous appointment. The good thing is there were not many people this time, so I was only in the clinic for an hour. Surprisingly!

I first had my routine check with the nurse, then went to see the Doctor, was asked to do an ultrasound because of my *cough*low*cough* BMI. So happy and relieved with the ultrasound results. Baby is growing well. Alhamdulillah.. Baby weights 2.3kgs already which is proportionate to my body size unlike when I had Iqbal. But then again, they say when you're carrying baby boy is usually bigger than baby girl.

Eh ermm.. I think you can guess that we're pregnant with baby girl this time. Alhamdulillah.. We're going to have a pair now. Really thankful to Allah for listening and granting our wish. Yes, we already have a name ready for Baby no.2 aka Baby A. ;) Haha semangat!

Oh! I'll have my maternity leave starting this 20th Oct which is in less than 2 weeks and I have to finish all my projects and pending works. Hopefully I can finish everything and am I glad that I can leave my work in good hands now. I have a really good team btw. :D So proud and happy for all of them.

First Impression: The Cambridge Satchel

I can't do a full review yet as Dear Husband and I have not use the bag. But I'm eager to outline the timeline and share it with everyone. Most of the reviews I read mentioned that they have less than good customer service which is fortunately not in our case.

Let me list down the timeline:

14th Sept - placed my order and received reply from CS.
18th Sept - received an email informed that they have shipped the Music Bag
23rd Sept - Music bag arrived and received an email informed that they have shipped my 11" Oxblood satchel.
28th Sept - my satchel arrived :D

So, everything took about two weeks. Thats really good. For a personalised bag, to me thats a job well done. After all, the bag have travelled around the continents (UK-France-Guangzhou, China-Singapore-Brunei).

my camera doesn't do justice to the colour.
it's the exact colour shown in their site!

I am in love with my satchel!!! It definitely fits my necessities except my bottle water. Hehe.. But thats ok. I can bring it to the car and leave it in there. I cant wait to use it! Mom commented that she used to have this kind of bag too. Classic she said. I told her, thats the reason why I bought it. ;)

What worries me now is that I have a satchel-addiction. I want to order another satchel but from a different company just because every reviews rave about this company. The good thing is they offer more options for customisation. Dear Husband actually prefers this as they offer magnetic closure (less hassle and saves time!) and wants a satchel too. Technically he doesn't own a satchel yet :p That can justify for another purchase! ;p

I might place an order again in the next few months or so. I want a bigger satchel so I can use it for work. I don't think I can use the 11" very often to work since I normally bring bottle water to work. Anddd I'm starting to like smaller bag these days. Hmm that's a good thing, right? Lol!

Now we know

Yesterday after work, I told Dear Husband that I want to go to Yayasan to look at Dr Ding's opening times. I could've called but I want to try our luck as well in case the clinic still opens.

When we arrived around 6pm, we went straight to the clinic and I took a picture of their opening times. And guess what? The clinic will be open at 7pm! I was excited and nervous at the same time.

We waited for almost an hour and had our ultrasound - witnessed by Dear husband and baby Iqbal. And we finally can confirm the gender for our baby! I'm so excited and happy but my EDD and baby's weight worrying me. I definitely need to eat more! :(

Let me introduce to you, Baby A. 😍

Wishlist: New Gadgets

Another weekend wishlist. This time it's not bags or make ups, but gadgets. I'm not really a gadget person, Dear Husband is. I have few gadgets I want to buy over the next few months until I have finally decided.

1. Camera
The last time I bought a compact camera was when I was in the UK, back in 2008 so that I could take a lot of pictures while I was there. Canon IXUS 870 IS. The camera is still working until today, just doesn't get much use anymore.

At the moment, I could not decide between the two newly released compact cameras from Canon - G16 and S120. I was looking at reviews for Canon G15 when I found out that Canon were releasing these two compact cameras this month. Both these cameras have the same specifications and the only difference is the body, while G16 is using more manuals but S120 comes with touch sensitive LCD. I'm definitely clueless with all these technical gadget terms. Sighs!

2. Phone
I'm currently still using iPhone4. Few generations behind and I'm actually quite impressed with iPhone5s new specs especially the camera. I still have not decided whether do I really want it or when should I buy it. I mean, my phone is still in a very good condition although the battery life has worsen a little after the update to iOS7. Other than that, it works just fine and alive! Should I upgrade?

3. Laptop
I have my mini iPad but I can't really do much of my work here. I still need the keyboard and I want Microsoft Excel for more analysis and formulas (not the apple version obviously!). I want the MacBook Air :D and I'll have it in parallel desktop with Windows. But since I'll have my maternity leave soon so I don't need this yet. This can waittt~ but I'm definitely buying this.

Anything in your wishlist? Do share them and why you want it or if you have a better suggestion, that'd be great too!

Can't see you

I had my Doctor's and ultrasound appointment last week on the 10th. Surprisingly - well not really but I usually never waited that longgg! - It took dear Husband and I half a day to finish the appointment. Luckily I applied for half-day leave. Whew! Poor Husband had to leave his work to company me.

We waited for two hours for ultrasound and then, had to meet the Doctor since I was already in 32 weeks. We were excited to know baby's gender but again, Baby no.2 is shy to let us know. Which makes it worst that I don't know what I need and to buy for Baby no.2 ;( I was concerned about baby's weight too but alhamdulillah.. Baby's weight is average, not too small and not too big. I have less than 2 months now til my due date. I'm excited and nervous too at the same time! :/

So my next appointment is on the 8th Oct - again to see the Doctor since I will be in my 36th weeks. I wish to know baby's gender but I'm not sure if we can find a time to go private clinic for an ultrasound. Dear Husband will be super busy at his work with the ASEAN summit coming up next month and we might move to a new office next month an I'll have my maternity leave in the third week maybe (if my calculation is right!). So many things need to be done at work before I have my long maternity leave.

Bag Lust: Cambridge Satchel

When I came across Bagaholicboy's post recently on the newly released The Mini from The Cambridge Satchel, I was reminded that I once wanted to have the bag. So for the past week, I actually have been lusting over the classic Cambridge Satchel. Furthermore, they offer FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING THIS MONTH! I could not let this one pass ;)

So when I browse through the site, I looked at the measurement for the Mini and immediately decided that I do not want the mini bag. I'd buy it for my baby girl though for Hari Raya! Haha.. I was left debating between the Classic in 11" and 13". I knew I wanted the newly added colour to their classic line, Oxblood - a beautiful burgundy colour. I fell in love with the colour at first sight.

Then I tried to justify why I want to buy this bag now (when baby no.2 is coming some more!). I want a small bag when I go out for quick errands with dear husband. You know, when I do not have to haul a lot of things. I want to be able to bring it to work too when I only need my necessities - wallet, pack of tissue, few lipsticks and a small water bottle. In the end, I decided for the 11" although a 13" one would have more space for other stuffs but I'm trying to limit what I want to carry in my bag. Babies will have a separate bag. Hehe..

Good thing is I've placed my order today and I bought another one for dear husband too. For him, I ordered the Cambridge Satchel Music bag as his work bag ;) Can't wait for them to arrive! :D

Raya Open Office

I know Syawal just ended and I'm finally posting pictures from my office Raya celebration. It is my first time to celebrate with my awesome work colleagues and I am glad that I have these people around me almost everyday! :D

We had two celebrations - for staffs and our customers. Staffs Raya celebration was held at the office parking area and it was super hot and cramped (well the tent was too small to fit everyone!). On the other hand, Raya celebration with customers was held recently at Dewan Mahligai in Airport Mall. Only half from the list we invited came nonetheless we had a good catching up sesh. Wafiy, my long-unheard-bestfriend was there too! :D

I even used the paper plate to fan myself -_-'

21 months appointment

Iqbal had his appointment last Wednesday (4.9.13) for his routine check up and flu injection. When we arrived, we were told that flu injection was out of stock so there will be no jab for Iqbal. "you're safe Iqbal.. for today!" and I think I saw him smiling satisfiedly.

Unfortunately, he's already 21 months old and the nurse decided to give him MMR jab instead. Haha.. "Nope, you're not safe today Sayang". Poor Baby! He cried for a while and stopped when the nurse is done. He even said, "kas tah (laju tah balik)" Hahaha and refused to say bye to the nurse too.

Statistics for recent appointment:

Weight: 9.7kgs
Height: 67cm
Overall: healthy, petite and active. Lol!

Poor Baby is now having a slight flu and coughs.. Hehe how cute is he trying to wrap himself up! *kiss*

Next week is my appointment, to get ultrasound and see the doctor in one morning. Im excited! ;)

I'm on leave

I finally can take my annual leave since I've passed my six months probation. Alhamdulillah.. So I decided to continue Hari Raya public holidays and took eight working days leave. That's because I'll have my maternity leave Insya Allah towards the end of October and will only be back by February. I can only brought forward five days of my annual leave hence I'm taking a lot of leaves this month.

Few things happened. My sister gave birth to a precious baby girl on the 14th and my cousin another precious baby girl on the 16th. We went to less houses for Hari Raya this year but managed to go to where we missed last year. On another happier note, my twins uni mates are both expecting. Alhamdulillah.. And also, my friend Gdah and Sheila. Their due dates are close and I'm truly excited and happy for all of them.

Alhamdullillah I'm currently in my 28 weeks and I've been getting baby kicks most of the time. I can't wait to have another ultra sound to confirm our baby's gender so I can shop a little. Clothing especially as I can still reuse some of Iqbal's stuffs. Oh! I have not gain much this pregnancy, it worries me. The Doctor even have prescribed me with iron supplements this time. I pray for nothing but a smooth pregnancy and delivery when the time comes, insya Allah.

Money Matters Part 2

It has been over a year since my last post on this matter. Alhamdulillah.. I now have a career and I am not planning to 'move' yet. I kinda like what I am doing now. ;)

Dear Husband and I have been discussing about "house" for the past couple of weeks. He has his plans and I do too, which sadly to say it's not the same. Haha! But we have slowly figure things out and slowly plan our future.

Our first step to a better family financial planning is to take Takaful Dream House, insya Allah we will start investing in August. We have decided to take 15 years maturity. Hence, while waiting for our own house, we will be renting Government house by next year. My family is multiplying!! Hehehe ;)

I believe it is a wise decision to start early investing in Takaful Dream House (or any other investments) while you are still young especially when you're planning to have your own house by taking less amount of loan but taking a lot of time. As what dear Husband said, instead of us paying high interest now for taking out loan, why not let the interest pays us first. I was reluctant to his idea at first but seems like it's a better option for now. :))

And for Baby Iqbal second birthday, we will take Takaful Education for him apart from saving at his account in TAIB. Alhamdulillah we can do it on monthly basis now. Insya Allah, Baby no.2 will have his/her own account too when he/she is one month old just like Baby Iqbal and his/her takaful when Baby no.2 reaches two years old.

I am really grateful with our condition now and thankful that we manage to save and 'splurge' sometimes at the same time these days. And I even can help my parents and siblings too. :DD

First Appointment

Finally I went to see the Doctor in the government clinic on 6th July. I went to the clinic on Thursday then they told me to come to see the Doc the next Saturday. Keep telling me that I'm a late booker. Pfft!

I was asked to fast on Friday night and mom took my blood for tests the next day before I went to the clinic. Dear husband kindly accompanied me. :D The Doc referred me to a dietician and I was asked to do an ultrasound on the 9th July which I'm excited about! GTT was schedule to be done on 6th Aug and I have to attend dietician briefing this 22nd July (next week!). Sighs! Its keturunan you see! I'm not unusually petite and thin.

When Iman and I attended the ultrasound, we were so excited to find out our baby's gender. But of course, we would like to know if our baby is healthy and how the baby is in my tummy. Alhamdulillah.. Baby no.2 is doing great. When Dear Husband asked the Doc if we can find out our baby's gender, she said.. "Most likely a xxxxx" but I am not satisfied with her answer. I'm not convinced yet truth to be told. We'll find out again soon, insya Allah.
